Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 April 2026

Overview

Stitchmap is a product discovery platform that connects shoppers with independent boutiques in London. These terms govern your use of the Stitchmap website and services. By using the platform as a shopper or creating an account as a merchant, you agree to these terms.

The service

Stitchmap is a referral platform, not a marketplace. We display your products to shoppers and direct them to your website or physical shop. We do not handle checkout, fulfilment, shipping, returns, or customer service. Those remain your responsibility.

We sync your product catalogue from Shopify and display it to shoppers based on their location and preferences. You control which products, locations, and collections are visible through your dashboard settings.

For shoppers

Stitchmap is free to use for shoppers. No account is required to browse products, save items to your itinerary, or request directions. We do not collect personally identifiable information from shoppers. See our Privacy Policy for details on anonymous data we collect.

Stitchmap displays product information sourced from merchants' Shopify stores. We do not guarantee the accuracy of pricing, availability, or product descriptions. All purchases are made directly with the merchant, not through Stitchmap.

Merchant accounts

To use Stitchmap as a merchant, you must have an active Shopify store. You connect your store via Shopify OAuth, which grants us read access to your products, inventory, locations, collections, and orders. You can revoke this access at any time from your Shopify admin.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your product data up to date on Shopify.

Billing

Stitchmap charges merchants for two types of activity:

  • 10% commission on the total amount of confirmed online orders attributed to Stitchmap. Attribution is determined by tracking parameters attached to the referral link.
  • £0.50 per itinerary route when a shopper plans a route to your shop from their itinerary, per product per day, for products priced £20 or above.

Charges accumulate during the month and are invoiced at the end of the period for the previous month's activity. There is no upfront cost, no monthly fee, and no setup cost. Invoices are payable on receipt.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days written notice to your registered email address. Changes will not apply retroactively to charges already incurred.

For full pricing details, see our pricing page.

Order attribution

When a shopper clicks through to your Shopify store from Stitchmap, we attach UTM tracking parameters to the link. If the shopper completes a purchase, Shopify notifies us via webhook and we record the attribution. The 10% commission applies to the full order total as reported by Shopify, regardless of which specific products the shopper purchased.

We also run a periodic reconciliation process to catch any orders that may have been missed due to webhook delivery failures.

Commission reversals

If an attributed order is refunded on Shopify, the commission charged on that order can be reversed. You must report refunds to us within 30 days of the original order date by emailing [email protected]. We do not reverse commissions reported after this window.

Reversals are proportional. A full refund reverses the full commission. A partial refund reverses the commission corresponding to the refunded amount.

Exchanges do not qualify. When a shopper swaps an item for another product, the original sale stays attributed to Stitchmap and the commission remains payable.

Reversed amounts are credited back to your Stitchmap balance.

Your content

You retain ownership of all content synced from your Shopify store (product names, descriptions, images, pricing). By using Stitchmap, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display this content to shoppers on the platform.

You represent that you have the right to display all content synced from your store and that it does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your organisation is deactivated and your products are removed from the platform. Any remaining credit balance is forfeited.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where possible.

Limitation of liability

Stitchmap is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific traffic or sales results, or the accuracy of order attribution. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount of credit you have purchased in the 12 months preceding any claim.

We are not liable for any actions taken by shoppers after leaving the Stitchmap platform, including purchases, returns, or disputes with your shop.

Privacy

Your use of Stitchmap is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered merchants of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
